About a year or two there were a ton of companies that offered you free calls if you listened to an advertisement. It seems that most of these services either disappeared, or are not doing what they can to advertise. I just came across http://www.freephone2phone.com/index.php which will allow you to make unlimited free 10 minute ad supported telephone calls to international destinations. It appears that it will only permit you to make a 5 minute call to the same number if you make multiple calls in the same day, but I have not seen any other limitations to the service.
I am going to have to ask my girlfriend to give me her actual telephone number next time we talk, so that I do not need to deal with the constant connection problems when using cell phone apps to keep in touch while she is back home in Thailand.

Wire molding wire run + small network install
Today I had an install at an office in a basement. No drop ceilings, and there was HVAC vents in the walls, so I did not know what obstacles I would encounter if I attempted to open some holes in the ceilings and walls to snake the wires. I opted for surface mount wire runs, but since I was running 10 jacks to 5 separate locations I decided that I would use wire molding to keep things neat. No one wants 10 blue cat 5 wires zip-tied to the wall for everyone to see.

| I drilled small holes in the top of the wire molding to pass 2 wires for each jack. |

| Ran wire molding above door frames in hallway, and down wall at end of hallway. The wire you see sticking out going thru the door was an existing cable wire that the customer had in place before I got there, I just pushed it into our molding. |

Beware of unsolicited domain renewal requests!
I was going through some of my old emails, setting up filters and marking spam when I came across this, which I had forgotten about. I just wanted to make a post so that new domain owners can be made aware of this unethical practice of companies sending what appears to look like a bill for domain registration renewal.
This is NOT a bill, nor is it from any company which I have done business in the past. Someone who may be new to domain registration may think that this is legitimate, after all how is this company to know that your domain name is about to expire, right? Well these companies scour the internet whois databases for when domain names expire, then gather the contact information and send out these renewal notices to the information found on file for the domain owner. I even got a hard copy of one of these notices, although I threw it in the trash so I do not recall if it was for the same people who sent this one.
So when something like what appears below comes to your mailbox, just ignore it or send it out to the spam box.
