Unauthorized mirrors

UPDATE: victory click here

Today while searching google for a link for my blog to post in response to someones question I came across an unauthorized mirror of my blog. While that in itself is insulting enough, an even greater concern and problem is that this unauthorized mirror was hosting its own ads with my content, thus making money off of my hard work on this blog.

The offending domain is http://www.blogger-index.com  and the offending site is http://www.blogger-index.com/523047-nyphonejacks

I suggest that If you run a blog, or website that you check to see that these immoral and unethical people are not stealing your content and profiting off of your hard work.

I emailed them demanding that they remove my content, but if it has not been removed in the next day or two, I will be seeking legal advice on how to get this removed and be financially compensated.

Opera mini 6.1 for blackberry

Recently the browser on my blackberry started acting up. It would not allow me to use the "trackball" to click links, I had to use the enter key. This worked for most links, but some links were unclickable. I do not know the cause of this trouble that a quick search online shows that many other people have encountered similar issues. A battery pull is always last resort but since I did one the other day for an unrelated issue and the trouble existed before and after the battery pull, I knew that would not work here. I also wanted to avoid the headache of reinstalling all of the software on my phone since their is not a new update for my currently Blackberry software.

I had installed opera mini on a previous phone and was not satisfied with it, so with reluctance I installed Opera Mini 6.1 onto my Blackberry Curve. I was pleasantly surprised that the Opera team have made dramatic improvements in the past year or two since I first gave Opera Mini a try. 6.1 is FASTER than the. Built in blackberry browser while on Boost Mobile's (Sprint) CDMA 3g network I have not yet tried WiFi browsing, but from what I read of the documentation some settings need to be changed for WiFi browsing to work.

So far I am more than happy with my decision to install Opera Mini onto my phone. Even this blog looks better on opera than it did on the built in Blackberry browser. Seems like working on the Wii browser and other embeded browsers have given the Opera team plenty of experience in how to build a browser and provide the user with an enjoyable and simple experience and interface

Yes I really am that busy. 57 runs, punched in.

I ran a total of 57 runs at this location. This included CAT5e runs, Siamese runs, a run to the yard for Verizon, a run to the yard for cable and runs for the access control / door phones.

Pulling in all of the cabling was done during construction phase, when everything was just studded out. Unlike most jobs I had assistance pulling the cables. Installation of the cables took nearly a full day.It took another full day to cut in the 35 CAT5e jacks, and test them.

I cut everything down myself, but for the last hour of testing and labeling I had help.

Still need a weatherproof box for the outdoor CAT5e jack that the customer wanted. Also need to put in 2 double jacks in the floor for conference room tables (waiting for the flooring guy to finish so he does not ruin my wires). Also need to cut down the 3 jacks in the basement for the smart meters (basement smells like sewage and I refuse to go down there until something is done about the smell). Also still need to install door phones, and relays for access controls. Cameras and DVR are being installed by someone else.

8 space rack mounted, 35 CAT5's ready to be punched into 48 port panel.

35 CAT5's ready to be punched down into 48 port panel.

Panel all punched down.
Cable modem installed on top of rack.
Router mounted on rack.
Switch still in box (letting my IT guy install that)

Cables hanging down to left are 11 access control/door phone wires.
The black one down the middle is for the cable modem, has been mounted since photographed.

Another quick 10 jack installation - cameras to come...

Here is another quick 10 jack installation that I just completed. 5 locations, 2 drops at each location. Notice the nice new labeler that we picked up to mark out the jacks.

Another 12 port panel. The 66 block was already there.

White CAT5e's are mine.
The green CAT5's, 25 pair, and 66 block were already there, but are not in use.

My jack to left is leveled, the existing jack on right is not level .
Also existing jack on right not terminated to anything in closet.
More to come on this job. Will be adding smoke detector cameras, as well as DVR, router, and VoIP phones from Telebroad.
